This walk explores Ashdown Forest's old wartime airstrip and discover a hidden gem, The Old Vachery which has been recovered and restored by the Friends of Ashdown Forest.

Walk duration: 2.5 hrs
Obstacles: Uneven groud and some hills.
Meet-up point: The Ashdown Visitors Centre car park Wych Cross, RH18 5JP car park. Parking charges apply.
Walk information: This walk is led by Pauline from High Weald Walkers. Cafe and WC at Ashdown Forest Visitors Centre. Accompanied children welcome: - below 18 years must be accompanied by adult with parental responsibility. Well behaved dogs on short leads allowed.
