Secrets of the Southborough Common - Kent High Weald Partnership
Join this leisurely 1-1.5-mile walk to discover the site of the old windmill, the horse trading ring or the gravel pit - and there's much more to experience of the history and heritage of the Common. Some of the ancient trackways go back centuries and there are still some yet to be uncovered!

About the event
This walk is led by an experienced and knowledgable member of the Kent High Weald Partnership. No booking required, just turn up a good 10 minutes before the start time and make yourself known to the walk leader.
Distance: 1 - 1.5 miles
Duration: 1 - 1.5 hours
Obstacles: Although we will be walking at a leisurely pace, there are some short stretches of steep gradients and steps.
Meeting point: Free car park next to St. Peters church or opposite the cricket ground on Church Road, Southborough. Post code TN4 0RU (What 3 words: tries.remedy.extra).
Bus: The closest bus stop is Southborough, Birchwood Avenue. Many services to bus stops along London Road. From Maidstone – No. 7 Maidstone to Tunbridge Wells via Southborough.
Rail: High Brooms station is the nearest rail service and is on the Tunbridge Wells to London service. It is around a ½ hour walk from the station to Southborough Common.

Information: Bring a drink & snack. Children welcome accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility. Well-behaved dogs on short lead welcome.
