Around and About Scotney Castle
A circular walk, stopping half way round for a short break & use of the facilities at Scotney Castle NT tea room (NT membership not required). The terrain is mixed, with some woodland as well as open sections.

About the event
This walk is led by Tony from High Weald Walkers. No booking required, just turn up a good 10 minutes before the start time and make yourself known to the walk leader.
Distance: 6 miles
Duration: 3 hrs
Obstacles: A few stiles and some moderate inclines.
Meeting point: Follow directions to Lamberhurst Golf Club TN3 8DT, then continue past the club, on Church Lane, then right into Church Rd, park at the end, near the church (note that space should be left for cars turning near church). w3w greet.barbarian.gurgled Map Ref. TQ682365
Walk details: The route goes across a golf course, through a hop farm, and past the remains of Scotney Castle. We will stop at the Tea Room in Scotney Castle after about 3 miles. There are toilets here. Snacks and/or drinks can be purchased in the cafe, or you may prefer to bring something with you.
