Balcombe to Worth Abbey and back - booking required
This 8-mile walk starts in the pretty village of Balcombe. The walk takes in some magnificent woods which include ancient oak trees and some more ornamental woods with fine specimen trees. We will stop at the Abbey’s beautiful Quiet Garden and there will be an opportunity to visit the Abbey Church.

Walk Details: This walk is led by Fr Patrick Fludder from the Worth Abbey Estate. Our lunch stop is Worth Abbey, which has toilets and paid-for refreshments available. Please bring water and a picnic. Advise wear walking boots or shoes.
Distance: 4 miles x 2 = 8 miles
Duration: 2 hours each way
Difficulty: Moderate
Obstacles: There are some stiles and uneven ground. The walk is hilly and reasonable fitness is required.
Meeting point: Bus stop outside Balcombe Rail Station Map Ref TQ306301 at 10.45 to depart promptly at 11.00am. Arrive by either by public transport or parking at the train station.
Information: No dogs please. Children who are good walkers are welcome but please note the distance.
