About the event
This walk is led by Paul from Mid-Sussex Ramblers. Starting in Minepit Wood we head north towards Crawley Down then south to Selsfield Common and Chiddinglye Farm then on to West Hoathly. We then proceed north past Gravetye Manor to finish back in Minepit Wood.
Walk distance: 9.3 miles
Walk duration: 5.5 hrs
Obstacles: Small number of stiles, mainly gates
Meet-up point: Minepit Wood car park off Vowels Lane. Post Code RH19 4LL . The post code gives the area. The Grid Ref: TQ 360350 is more accurate.
Information: Be aware Moderate Walks can be brisk at approx. 2.5 miles per hour. Accompanied children welcome: - below 18 years must be accompanied by adult with parental responsibility. Well behaved dogs on short leads allowed. Please bring a picnic lunch. No toilets or cafes on route. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure to ensure we have everyone and a prompt start.
