About the event
Join Harry, Woodland Officer for the Kent High Weald Partnership, for a guided morning walk through a varied and historically rich landscape, where he will share insights into both their past and present stewardship. Please book your place.
The walk will meander through a mosaic of woodland types, each revealing clues about former land uses and traditional management practices. Along the way, you’ll explore how historic techniques such as coppicing have shaped the character of these woods, and how modern conservation work continues to support their resilience and biodiversity.
Expect some steeper slopes in places, balanced by rewarding views across the High Weald and the chance to hear a variety of birdlife as the woods come alive in the morning.
Finishing around lunchtime, this walk offers a relaxed yet informative opportunity to connect with the heritage and ecological importance of this distinctive landscape.
