A walk around the Chailey Commons (yes they are plural) looking at their contrasting history as a resource for the poor, a military training ground and a modern landscape conservation area. We include a visit to the yew tree which claims to be at the exact centre of Sussex.

This walk is led by Graham Kean, Wealden District Council. No booking necessary, just turn up 10 minutes before the start time!

Meeting location: Car park immediately west of St Marys Church, A272, North Chailey BN8 4ET, TQ 389 211. Free parking available or use the 121 Bus Service.
