About the event

This walk was originally planned to be co-led by Tim Cornish and Graham Kean, a popular local walk leader who was a great friend to the High Weald Walking Festival since its inception in 2018. Sadly, Graham passed away recently, but Tim has decided to lead the walk in his memory. We hope you will join us in sharing our condolences with Graham's family, friends and colleagues; his knowledge and humour will be sadly missed.

On this walk you will learn how the Archbishops' deer park operated: lodge and farm, fishponds, agistment, tile production, quarry, deer management (hunting, breeding, ritual and conventions) and visit one of the best-preserved ironworks sites in Sussex.
