About the event

For those passionate about wildlife conservation, this walk will provide interesting insights on one of Britain's rarest mammals and why it disappeared from the High Weald. You'll discover what the species would need to thrive and how conservation organisations approach species reintroduction projects. This walk is led by Ash Walmsley, Ashdown Forest's Head of Conservation and the Kent Wildlife Trust's Sue Blanch who has been leading the South-East Pine Marten Restoration Project in Kent.


Walk distance: 1.8 miles

Walk duration: 2 hours

Obstacles: a steep hill and some uneven terrain. This walk will be unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
