About the event
This walk and talk will provide interesting insights on one of Britain's rarest mammals and why it disappeared from the High Weald. Hear all about The South-East Pine Marten Restoration Project - a partnership between Ashdown Forest, Kent Wildlife Trust, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Wildwood Trust and Forestry England - which is assessing the feasibility of reintroducing them.
This walk is led by Ash Walmsley, Ashdown Forest's Head of Countryside and the Kent Wildlife Trust's Sue Blanch who is the South-East Pine Marten Restoration project lead.
Walk distance: 1.8 miles
Walk duration: 2 hours
Obstacles: A steep hill, some uneven terrain and narrow paths. This walk will be unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
