About the event
This walk is led by Alaina from Battle Ramblers. No booking required, please turn up a good 10 minutes before the start time and make yourself known to the walk leader.
Distance: 7 miles with option of 5 mile peel off group.
Duration: 3 hrs 30 mins or 2 hrs 30 mins
Obstacles: A few stiles, one short steep incline and one awkward road to cross on the longer walk.
Meeting point: Robertsbridge railway station entrance. Parking in the station is £4 or free along Station Road. What3words: fatherly.grouping.bagels. Post Code: TN32 5DA. Start Grid: TQ 735 235. As there are excellent train links the walk starts at 10.30am to allow for train travellers.
Walk details: The walk begins following a path south of the river and the railway embankment. Clear views across the Low Weald valley before reaching the town of Etchingham with the 14th-century Assumption and St Nicholas Church. Continuing to…
