Rye Harbour's 465 hectares have international wildlife designations. Join us for a circular walk of approximately 10.5km led by an expert Ranger, starting out from the Discovery Centre.

About the event
This walk is led by James Duncan - Ranger - Sussex Wildlife Trust. Booking required.
We’ll take in a variety of habitats, including saltmarsh, vegetated shingle, wild hedgerows and species-rich grassland, following the River Brede to Henry VIII's Camber Castle, taking the opportunity to observe the wildlife we find on route. We'll also head to a trio of birdwatching hides to look at some of the wetland birds present.
Distance: 6.5 miles
Duration: 6 hours (to allow slower walkers)
Obstacles: None. Motorised wheelchairs only – though some rougher sections may be tricky
Meeting point: Meet-up at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre Rye Harbour. Post code TN31 7FW. 5 minutes walk from Rye Harbour village car park (TN31 7TY) – large car park, donations to Icklesham Parish Council. Public transport Bus service 313 from Rye town.

Information: Bring a packed lunch. WC and Cafe facilities. Children welcome accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility. Well-behaved dogs on short lead welcome.
