About the event
This walk is led by Will from Rother Ramblers. Starting in Rye, the route crosses the reclaimed marshes west of Rye towards the interesting town of Winchelsea, where we will be joined by Mr Jeremy Moss from the "Winchelsea & Area Archaeological Society". Jeremy will guide us through the town exploring the many points of interest. We will have time for a picnic lunch before continuing towards the Royal Military Canal and then returning to Rye via Camber Castle. For anyone not wishing to walk the full distance, there is an option of taking the bus back.
Walk distance: 9 miles
Walk duration: 5 hrs
Obstacles: 2 stiles, one short climb
