A stroll through part of one of the best surviving medieval landscapes in Northern Europe - a landscape of wooded, rolling hills studded with sandstone outcrops; small, irregular-shaped fields; scattered farmsteads; and ancient routeways.

About the event

This walk is led by Clive from High Weald Walkers. No booking required, just turn up a good 10 minutes before the start time and make yourself known to the walk leader.

Distance: 6 miles

Duration: 3 hrs

Obstacles: Undulating in places with a total of 575 ft of ascent. A few stiles.

Meeting point: Meet up and start of walk from the Groombridge Village hall car park (free). Plenty of street parking if car-park is full. Grid Ref: TQ531373 Postcode: TN3 9QY.

Walk details: Please bring a drink with you. Well behaved dogs allowed (on short lead). Suitable for children accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility.
