The High Weald Walking Festival 2021 is now over.
Many of our self-guided, downloadable walks are usually only available in guide books and were kindly 'lent' to the Festival for a limited time period, so we have now taken them down.

HIGH WEALD LANDSCAPE TRAIL
A 145km (90 mile) route that meanders through the AONB from east to west, linking ridge-top villages and historic gardens for which the area is famous.

*NEW!* HASTINGS 1066 WALK
Explore the newly regenerated 31-mile route between Pevensey and Rye, which boasts ten new sculptures by Keith Pettit, plus new signage, information panels and benches.
Walk through countryside that witnessed the Norman Conquest. Starting at Pevensey Castle (and heading north towards the Pevensey levels), it passes Herstmonceux Castle, the historic 1066 Battle Abbey and Battlefield, medieval Winchelsea, ending in historic Rye.

KENT RAMBLERS GUIDES - TUNBRIDGE WELLS AND BEYOND
Kent Ramblers currently have three guidebooks available to purchase, the most recent being The Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk and other walks in the Tunbridge Wells area.
The Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk is a 28.5 mile ring through the fine countryside around the town with four routes joining various points on the ring to transport services in or linked to the town centre.
The town trail is a 3.2 mile allows the walker to appreciate the fine architecture and historical connections of Tunbridge Wells's many attractive buildings. DAY WALKS ON THE HIGH WEALD - DEIRDRE HUSTON & VERTEBRATE PUBLISHING
Local author Deirdre Huston has compiled her favourite walks in the region, which showcases the High Weald's rich history and varied landscape.
