A massive thank you to everyone who took part in the first ever self-guided High Weald Walking Festival this year.
Our virtual ‘event’ had a fantastic response with more than 12,000 hits to the website during the month and more than 20,000 walk and map downloads!
We’ve received some lovely feedback and it’s been great to hear from so many who have explored the High Weald for the first time, discovered new walking routes in their local area or learned more about this historic and beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty:
"Many thanks for including this walk - I really doubt we would have found it unaided. Definitely to be repeated..."
"A brilliant initiative, and I would love these to be available all year round..."
"Many thanks for the variety of walks you've included, and their spread over the entire High Weald area. As you say, 'something for everyone...'"
"Love your site, thank you so much for all the info. It's very hard to find circular walks unless you know someone who knows where they are - and now I feel with your website, I do..."
If you've not already done so, please tell us about your walking experience using our quick and easy online form: www.highwealdwalks.org/feedback.
Thanks also go to all those who 'donated' their walks - enabling us to offer a massive 50 downloadable routes - including Rother Ramblers, Battle Ramblers, High Weald Walkers, Mid-Sussex Ramblers, Travel Log Lewes (Chris Smith), RSPB Broadwater Warren, Buchan Country Park, Bedgebury Pinetum, Kent Ramblers (Robert Peel) and Deirdre Huston.
