High Weald

Walking Festival

September 2020

We're delighted to bring you 50 fantastic self-guided walking routes from every corner of this beautiful landscape, including some real hidden gems - completely FREE OF CHARGE. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a lockdown newbie, there’s something for everyone in this 'virtual' High Weald Walking Festival.

  • Visit our Walks page and check out the list and interactive map showing the starting location and length of all 50 routes. The walks are only available for one month and will come down on 1 October, so don’t miss out

  • Click the relevant link to download the PDF walking route, which can be easily printed in A4 size on a home printer. There's no limit to how many you can try - why not see how many you can complete in 30 days?

  • Make sure you’re signed up to the Festival mailing list as this will be our main way of letting you know if any new walks are released throughout the month, plus ideas for things to spot in the landscape.

  • Let us know how you’re getting on; share your photos and updates when you’re out and about using #highwealdwalks, and please complete our short feedback form.

The walking guides will also include advice on exploring the countryside safely, in line with the latest government COVID-19 guidelines. Check out our Staying Safe page for more information.

Happy Walking!
