There is a lot to choose from in this year’s High Weald Walking Festival Programme.  As ever, every event is free and led by experts and experienced guides. The programme has been expanded with 59 walks that cover history, ecology, beautiful landscapes, as well as shorter walks designed to be more accessible. 

Why Book?

A small number of the Festival events require booking and these are all listed below. These events have a maximum number of people, so that you get the best experience.  Some locations have limited parking, or have arranged for reduced parking fees for participants, such as Bedgebury Pinetum.

Do I have to book for all the walks during the festival?

No, only those that we’ve listed on this page.  They are also marked on the online programme as ‘booking required’.  

How do I know the time and location of the event? You’ll receive an email before the event confirming the event details.

What happens if I can’t go? These walks are popular so, if you can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible; we can then release the space to someone on the waiting list. 

The event is full. Is there a waiting list? Yes, we are running a waiting list in the event of cancellations.  Please feel free to join it and we can let you know if a space opens up.
